Houston, prepare to waste more money in rent in 2019

As I have been predicting, the new year will be bringing us a better economy and will that we will have to pay more in rent. Many people do not know this, but Houston is actually a city of renters. Which is actually hard to believe because property values here are lower than the National average, yet Houston ranks among the highest for the city with most renters. Thus as more and more renters, we get, more and more is expected to be paid in rent. On average, Houstonians are paying about $1500/mo in rent and ApartmentData is expecting an increase of at least 4%, which is a conservative number according to me. With this in mind, Houstonians are expected to pay as much as $810 more in rent per year this year, and I expect those numbers to go higher by 2020. So, what is there left to do? Buy a home of course.
